Lovely exploration of how birdsong connects us to specific places, times of day, and ourselves—and of course how birds have inspired lovely music, from Mozart to CS and beyond. I also appreciate that rather than dwelling on the sorrow of the many bird voices that are being silenced by human greed and ignorance, Cosmo instead focuses here on the joy listening to birds can bring us—which ought to inspire us to care more about and for them.
